Sunnybrook International School, Lekki, recently concluded its 2018 Summer Camp, where the children were exposed to lots of interesting activities and programmes, designed to develop their talents, bring out their creativity and abilities, as well as sharpen their skills, though the academic aspect was also given a lot of attention.
The Director of the School, Miss Maryanne Maduekwe, said the children were especially prepared for the next academic session in order to give them a good start, when schools resume next month. She added that the holiday package was such that the children gained a lot in many areas, while having fun, networking, interacting and making friends.
She said: “We had a carefully planned Summer schedule. The children had intensive academic work, exciting trips and such interesting activities as cultural day, financial literacy programme with Sterling Bank, cookery classes, taekwondo, science workshops and robotic sessions, among others. They also met a lot of new friends, including international students.
The objective of the Summer School was to prepare and equip them with skills in readiness for the 2018/2019 academic session. They all had a wonderful time, indeed.”She, however, explained that the school also partnered with such reputable organisations as Mad Science of Nigeria, Lego Nigeria and Kids Consult Educamps, among others, to provide exceptional extracurricular activities for the students, thereby ensuring a good blend of fun activities and the academic programmes.
“We pride ourselves in providing excellent and wholesome education in a safe, conducive and stimulating environment. Sunnybrook School Lekki is currently enrolling students for the 2018/2019 academic session. With a team of qualified teachers and administrators, the children are being prepared to succeed in today’s global community,” she said.
