The French Development Agency (AFD) has disclosed that it spent 1.5 billion euros in its 10 years of partnership with Nigeria to deepen the country’s infrastructure capacity.

It said this as part of events to mark 10 years anniversary in the country, adding that it was organising a series of events on October 11 and 12, 2018 in Abuja to celebrate the milestone.

The aim is to raise awareness about AFD’s interventions and highlight their impacts in the country to be anchored on the release of a study on the Lake Chad region.

The first activity will be a roundtable on Thursday, October 11 at AFD’s Country Office in Abuja to cross the perspectives, confront the arguments of Nigerian researchers, French academics, political representatives and civil society.
