The Association of Imo indigenes in diaspora have endorsed Mr. Frank Nneji as All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) flagbearer in the 2019 governorship election in the state.
This is coming on the heels of another endorsement by Imo Professional Group in Nigeria, which also endorsed him as their choice aspirant, due to his unrivaled capacity in human management and resource utilisation.
According to a statement signed by Dr. Hyacinth Nwachukwu, spokesperson of Imo Indigenes in Diaspora, he pointed out that Nneji’s pedigree and foray in international business gives him an edge over other contestants.
He emphasised that Nneji has lived all his life in Imo State, employed several indigenes in his business, which has propelled him to understudy and understand the needs of his people.
The group appealed to APGA delegates to apply wisdom, patriotism and most importantly, look at the credentials of the person in the selection process, “because if we get it wrong in 2019, the state may be doomed for a long time.”
“The process of rebuilding Imo State starts with the delegates, hence they should appreciate the dilemma of our decayed health and education, infrastructure, misery of the youths, unemployed graduates, uncoordinated urban renewal projects and poor governance of the state into perspective,” he said.
