Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and other professionals are expected to speak on corporate governance tomorrow in Abuja.
At a press briefing at the weekend in Lagos, the President and Chairman of Council of the Association of Corporate Governance Professionals of Nigeria (ACGPN), Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, said for corporate firms and public sector companies to succeed in business and have great returns on investment, it is imperative to imbibe good corporate governance culture.
To him, it is imperative for every organization to work according to rules of corporate governance, which are accountability, fairness, honesty and ethics, among others
Ohuabuwa said, at the event themed “Shaping the Future–Rethinking Corporate Governance”, experts would deliberate on topics that would bequeath actionable knowledge to public and private sectors operators.
A member of the planning committee, Adekunle Omomtimirin, stated: “If codes and ethics are adhered to, it will affect the bottom line of organizations positively.”
